Operational standards
One shared standard for the alliance.
Participation in LAM requires respectful, realistic and responsible operations while preserving the identity and procedures of each allied virtual airline.
General
-
1.1
Líneas Aéreas Mexicanas, referred to as “LAM”, is a non-profit community formed by virtual airlines and pilots within the IVAO network.
-
1.2
All members must follow official IVAO rules, policies and procedures at all times.
-
1.3
LAM aims to strengthen Mexican virtual aviation through realistic, organized and professional passenger, cargo and simulated logistics operations.
-
1.4
LAM does not provide real aviation, passenger transport, cargo, parcel or logistics services.
Membership requirements
-
2.1
Maintain an active IVAO account in good standing.
-
2.2
Have basic IFR knowledge and the ability to operate safely on the network.
-
2.3
Use a flight simulator and connection client compatible with IVAO.
-
2.4
Maintain a respectful attitude towards pilots, ATC, staff and other community members.
-
2.5
Meet any additional requirements established by the allied virtual airline being operated.
Conduct
-
3.1
Offensive language, harassment, discrimination and toxic behavior are prohibited in community channels and operations.
-
3.2
During network operations, pilots must follow ATC instructions when they are consistent with applicable rules and the pilot’s operational capabilities.
-
3.3
Professional conduct is expected during flights, events, communications and activities represented under LAM or an allied VA.
-
3.4
Failure to comply may result in warnings, restrictions, suspension or removal from the community.
Flight operations
-
4.1
Flights registered as LAM operations must be completed while connected to IVAO unless a published activity expressly permits another format.
-
4.2
Pilots must use the authorized callsign of the relevant allied virtual airline. The currently recognized prefixes are WOS, TEJ, FDX and VIV.
-
4.3
Every LAM flight must include the identifier LAMMX in the remarks of the flight plan filed on IVAO.
-
4.4
A correct flight plan consistent with the route, aircraft, altitude and flight rules must be filed before the operation begins.
-
4.5
The aircraft must be permitted or recommended by the relevant VA and appropriate for the type of operation.
-
4.6
Pilots should maintain realism in routing, fuel, weights, altitudes, procedures and aircraft performance.
Activity
-
5.1
Minimum activity requirements will be defined and communicated by LAM or each allied virtual airline.
-
5.2
Extended inactivity may change a pilot’s status or temporarily limit access to recognitions and internal activities.
-
5.3
Pilots may request an approved leave of absence through the channel established by the organization.
Rank system
-
6.1
Progression may consider flight hours, participation, experience, training and operational compliance.
-
6.2
Official ranks, badges and recognitions will be published by LAM when the corresponding system is enabled.
-
6.3
Access to certain aircraft, routes or activities may depend on rank and the requirements of each VA.
Events and special operations
-
7.1
LAM and its allied virtual airlines may organize events, tours, air bridges and special operations.
-
7.2
Participation is encouraged to strengthen activity and collaboration among the VAs.
-
7.3
Events may require greater discipline regarding schedules, slots, routes, communications and published procedures.
Flight reporting
-
8.1
When the reporting system is enabled, flights must be submitted through the official method specified by LAM or the relevant VA.
-
8.2
False, duplicated, manipulated or deliberately inaccurate PIREPs and records will be rejected and may result in sanctions.
-
8.3
Reports must reflect information consistent with the completed operation, including callsign, route, aircraft, times and requested data.
Software use
-
9.1
Authorized and correctly configured clients, including Altitude where applicable, must be used to connect to IVAO.
-
9.2
The use of aeronautical charts, planning tools such as SimBrief and appropriate aircraft documentation is recommended.
-
9.3
Software or methods intended to fraudulently falsify, alter or automate flight records are prohibited.
Sanctions
-
10.1
Minor violations may result in a warning and guidance to correct the conduct.
-
10.2
Repeated or higher-impact violations may result in temporary suspension of activities or benefits.
-
10.3
Serious violations, fraud, harassment or deliberate harm to the community may result in permanent removal.
-
10.4
The measure applied will consider the severity, recurrence, available evidence and context of the case.
Final provisions
-
11.1
These rules may be updated to reflect operational, technical or community changes.
-
11.2
Material changes will be communicated through the available official channels.
-
11.3
Every member confirms that they understand and accept these rules when registering, participating or operating under LAM.
-
11.4
If a conflict exists, official IVAO rules take priority over any internal community provision.
