Introduction

By registering with or participating in Líneas Aéreas Mexicanas, referred to as “LAM” or “the organization”, the user agrees to these Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

LAM is an independent flight simulation community. It has no commercial, employment or institutional relationship with any real airline, brand or company represented by its allied virtual airlines.

Nature of the service

LAM brings together virtual airlines and pilots for recreational, educational and community purposes within flight simulators and online networks such as IVAO.

• It does not operate real commercial flights.
• It does not transport passengers, cargo or physical goods.
• It does not sell tickets or provide aviation or logistics services.

Eligibility and accounts

To participate in community operations and systems, users must meet the requirements published by LAM and by the external platforms being used.

• Maintain an active IVAO account in good standing whenever required.
• Provide accurate information and keep it updated.
• Protect account credentials and prevent access by third parties.

Acceptable use

Each member must use the services respectfully, safely and consistently with the purpose of the community.

• Respect pilots, staff members and virtual air traffic controllers.
• Follow the rules of IVAO, LAM and each allied virtual airline.
• Do not use the platform for illegal, abusive or harmful activities.
• Do not impersonate others, manipulate records or provide false information.

Intellectual property

Third-party trademarks, names, logos, designs and images belong to their respective owners. Their use within LAM is solely representative, educational and non-commercial.

LAM content must not be presented as official material from a real airline or used to suggest a commercial relationship that does not exist.

Limitation of liability

LAM aims to keep its services available but does not guarantee continuous or error-free operation.

• LAM is not responsible for technical faults, maintenance, lost connections or temporary interruptions.
• LAM is not responsible for misuse of accounts, content or community tools.
• LAM does not control or accept responsibility for external services, including IVAO, map providers, hosting or communication platforms.

Suspension or termination

The organization may restrict, suspend or remove an account when there is a reasonable concern involving community safety, integrity or conduct.

• Failure to follow applicable rules or procedures.
• Inappropriate conduct, harassment, fraud or harm to other members.
• Manipulation of flights, statistics or platform information.
• Extended inactivity under the published rules.

Applicable framework

This policy is interpreted according to the principles of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where relevant, applicable Mexican personal data protection law.

Information we may collect

Depending on the services being used, LAM may process the following categories of information:

• Name, alias or identifier displayed in the community.
• IVAO VID, identifier and callsign.
• Email address and contact information provided voluntarily.
• Flight activity, PIREPs, routes, hours, statistics and recognitions.
• IP address, access logs and technical data required for security and operation.

Purposes of processing

Information is used only to operate, protect and improve the community.

• Manage memberships, profiles, ranks and participation.
• Record flights and generate community statistics.
• Coordinate internal activities and communications.
• Prevent abuse, investigate incidents and maintain security.
• Improve the experience and performance of the services.

Legal basis

Processing may be based on user consent, the relationship created by community participation, the legitimate interest in managing and protecting the community, or compliance with an applicable legal obligation.

Data retention

Information is retained for the time needed to fulfil the stated purposes and maintain the user’s account or participation.

• While the account remains active or the user maintains a relationship with the community.
• For reasonable administrative, security or legal periods.
• Until a valid deletion request can be completed, unless retention is legally required.

Sharing information

LAM does not sell or trade personal information.

• Information may be shared with providers required to operate the platform, subject to reasonable safeguards.
• Certain operational data may be connected with external services such as IVAO.
• Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the community and its members.

User rights

Under applicable law, users may exercise the rights that apply to their personal information.

• Request access to available information.
• Correct incomplete or inaccurate information.
• Request deletion when legally permitted.
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
• Request portability when technically and legally applicable.
• Withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Security

LAM applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to reduce the risk of loss, alteration, unauthorized access or misuse. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

The website may use essential, preference or measurement cookies to maintain sessions, remember settings and improve the experience. Users can manage cookies in their browser, although blocking essential cookies may affect some functions.

International transfers

Because online flight simulation is international, some information may be processed or stored outside the user’s country. Appropriate safeguards will be sought whenever they are required.

Changes to this document

LAM may update these terms and this policy to reflect operational, technical or legal changes. Material updates will be communicated through available channels, and the date of this document will be revised.

Contact and privacy requests

Questions about privacy and requests involving personal information must be sent through the official channel published by Líneas Aéreas Mexicanas. Additional information may be requested to verify the identity of the data subject.

Acceptance

By registering, accessing or using LAM services, the user confirms that they have read and understood these Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy and accept the conditions applicable to their participation.
